Your mission

Odds Scanner is seeking a talented and experienced Head of Design to join our growing team either in the Lisbon or Malta offices.
As the Head of Design, you will lead and manage all aspects of our design department across various platforms and projects. If you are passionate about product design, UI/UX, and creating compelling and effective visual experiences, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive design processes to enhance user experience, engagement, and brand consistency.
  • Oversee and manage design projects across main channels, including web, mobile, social media, and AV.
  • Lead the design of our product interface and user experience to ensure seamless interaction and functionality.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, product, and development teams to ensure design alignment with overall company goals and campaigns.
  • Lead the design team in creating high-quality visuals, including graphics, videos, and interactive content.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve the user experience.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on design performance, making data-driven decisions to improve visual impact.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in design, UI/UX, and digital media.
  • Manage budgets, forecast design needs, and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Ensure all design content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a high level of quality.
  • Expand the design team to at least 2x its current size, including hiring and managing designers, UI/UX specialists, design systems and more.
  • Complete control, management and creation of processes and documentation to support the growing team.
Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head of Design or similar role, preferably within the sports or gambling industries.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles, UI/UX, and digital media platforms.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in product design, UI/UX, and visual design.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in Portuguese is ideal.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed design decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with A/B testing and performance optimization.
