Order-to-Cash Associate Specialist

You'll collaborate with around 50 Finance and HR professionals at the new GSS center in Lisbon.
Purpose of the RoleThe Order-to-Cash Associate Specialist will play a crucial role in establishing OtC Operations in the Center. Reporting to the OTC Regional Manager, you'll ensure all Order to Cash processes meet accounting standards, policies, SOX, and statutory requirements. Operating within a regional scope, you'll be accountable for the successful execution of OtC operations for your region. You'll partner with internal teams, oversee service delivery from our BPO partner, and engage with Organon Customers and Markets to truly grasp our customers' needs and business dynamics.
Position Responsibilities- OtC Process Delivery:
- Deliver services aligning with agreed Service Level, Controls and Governance.
- Help manage process risk by following policies and internal controls, ensuring compliance with OtC guidelines and executing process and SOX controls accurately and timely.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate standard operating procedures and related internal control documentation.
- Foster a focus on process improvement, aiding in the adoption of best practices and utilizing project management principles.
- Collaborate with auditors to ensure successful audit outcomes and adherence to US GAAP and company policies.
- Support training, ensure accuracy and timely delivery of work outputs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements through continuous improvement.
- Maintain detailed process documentation like global SOPs, Regional Work Instructions, etc., in coordination with the OtC Global Process Owner.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Up to 1 year of experience in Order-to-Cash processes (Order management, Billing, Pricing, Credit & collections, Cash application).
- Fluency in English and proficiency in another European Language (German, Turkish, Spanish, etc.).
- Experience working in regional or global teams.
- Experience with Internal or External Audit is a plus.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in large teams.
- Strong analytical and systems skills (MS Office, etc.).
- Ability to uphold financial controls.
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented, produces accurate deliverables, and meets deadlines consistently.
- Experience using SAP R/3 required. (Valued: experience with SAP S/4 HANA).
- Experience in a shared service center.
- Work effectively under pressure and independently.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Team player with a customer-oriented and collaborative mindset.
- Drive for process improvement and results.
- Effective organizational agility and prioritization capabilities.
