PRINCIPAIS FUNÇÔES Como Business Development Manager, terá um papel fundamental na expansão da presença da BALANCELL em Portugal e não só. Sua principal responsabilidade será identificar, engajar e fechar negócios com novos clientes. As suas principais responsabilidades incluirão:
Vendas e Crescimento do Negócio Desenvolver e executar uma estratégia de vendas para fazer crescer o negócio em segmentos de mercado novos e existentes.Identificar e priorizar potenciais clientes através de pesquisa de mercado e networking.Construir fortes relacionamentos com OEMs e parceiros-chave da indústria para posicionar a BALANCELL como um fornecedor de tecnologia confiável.Soluções para Clientes & Envolvimento Liderar o desenvolvimento de soluções técnicas e comerciais adaptadas às necessidades dos clientes.Trabalhar com equipas internas para criar ofertas de produtos personalizados para os clientes.Realizar a gestão de testes de produtos, discussões técnicas e negociações de contratos com clientes.Apresentar propostas e casos de negócio aos decisores e engenheiros das empresas clientes.Contratação e Negociações Liderar negociações de contratos de fornecimento e termos de serviço.Garantir que as soluções atendam tanto às necessidades dos clientes quanto aos objetivos de negócios da BALANCELL.Inteligência de Mercado & Estratégia Analisar tendências de mercado e concorrência para identificar oportunidades de crescimento.Manter o conhecimento do mercado, incluindo participação de mercado e desenvolver o pipeline de oportunidades de vendas/licitações com um horizonte de 12 meses +PERFIL DO CANDIDATO Educação e Experiência: 5+ anos de experiência comercial nos setores de energia, industrial ou tecnologia.Licenciatura em Gestão, Engenharia ou áreas afins (MBA é uma vantagem).Experiência no desenvolvimento de licitações, modelos de precificação e propostas comerciais.Conhecimento dos mercados de máquinas industriais e elétricas é uma forte vantagem.Habilidades e Competências: Fluente em Português e proficiente em Inglês.Fortes habilidades de vendas e negociação, com experiência de trabalho com tomadores de decisão seniores.Capacidade de compreender conceitos técnicos e comunicá-los claramente aos clientes.Experiência em gestão de projetos e planeamento estratégico.Conforto no uso de ferramentas digitais e sistemas de CRM para acompanhamento e relatórios de vendas.Mindset e Abordagem: Proativo ou independente – capaz de trabalhar com supervisão mínima e tomar iniciativas.Flexível ou adaptável – confortável em um ambiente de negócios em rápida mudança.Orientado a resultados – focado no atingimento de metas e crescimento do negócio.Disponibilidade para viagens frequentes para reuniões com clientes, eventos e desenvolvimento de negócios.COM QUEM IRÁ TRABALHAR Liderança da empresa (falam Ingles)– colaborando em estratégias de crescimento.Equipas internas – garantindo uma coordenação eficiente entre diferentes funções.Clientes e OEMs – gestão de vendas, relacionamentos e negociações comerciais.Equipas Técnicas de Produto e Técnicas – garantindo que as soluções certas são entregues aos clientes.PORQUÊ ADERIR À BALANCELL? ENGLISH VERSION Job Description – Business Development Manager ABOUT BALANCELL BALANCELL has grown over the past eleven years from a tech startup into a stable production company, offering a proven, world-class product used by major brands and industrial clients. Originated in Cape Town, South Africa, we design and manufacture battery packs and battery management technology for industrial and commercial applications, supplying leading OEMs.
As energy costs increase and businesses seek reliable solutions, BALANCELL provides integrated energy storage that helps companies reduce costs and improve energy security.
In 2025, BALANCELL expanded to Margem Sul, Moita. With this expansion, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to help us grow our business in Portugal and beyond. This role is ideal for someone who is excited about the renewable energy sector and wants to help build a successful company in a fast-growing market.

WHAT YOU WILL DO As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding BALANCELL's presence in Portugal and beyond. Your main responsibility will be to identify, engage, and close deals with new clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
Sales & Business Growth · Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow the business in new and existing market segments.
· Identify and prioritize potential customers through market research and networking.
· Build strong relationships with OEMs and key industry partners to position BALANCELL as a trusted technology provider.
Client Solutions & Engagement · Lead the development of technical and commercial solutions tailored to client needs.
· Work with internal teams to create custom product offerings for customers.
· Manage product trials, technical discussions, and contract negotiations with clients.
· Present proposals and business cases to decision-makers and engineers at client companies.
Contracting & Negotiations · Lead contract negotiations for supply agreements and service terms.
· Ensure that solutions meet both client needs and BALANCELL's business goals.
Market Intelligence & Strategy · Analyze market trends and competition to identify growth opportunities.
· Maintain Market Awareness including market share and develop the sales/tender opportunity pipeline with a 12 month+ horizon
WHO YOU ARE (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) Education & Experience: · 5+ years of commercial experience in the energy, industrial, or technology sectors.
· Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
· Experience in developing tenders, pricing models, and business proposals.
· Knowledge of industrial and electric machinery markets is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies: · Fluent in Portuguese and proficient in English.
· Strong sales and negotiation skills, with experience working with senior decision-makers.
· Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly to clients.
· Experience in project management and strategic planning.
· Comfortable using digital tools and CRM systems for sales tracking and reporting.
Mindset & Approach: · Proactive & independent – able to work with minimal supervision and take initiative.
· Flexible & adaptable – comfortable in a fast-changing business environment.
· Results-oriented – focused on achieving targets and growing the business.
· Willing to frequently travel for client meetings, events, and business development.
