.Conrad Algarve - Groups and Events Manager A Groups and Events Manager is responsible for overseeing the Sales Coordinators and the Groups Coordinator working with the Hotel to achieve pre-established goals. Responsible for maximizing sales results for Hotel Groups and Events. What will I be doing? As a Groups and Events Manager, you will work on the development of the Groups and Sales Coordinators team who will attend the events in the hotel, ensuring the quality and efficiency of our services. Specifically, the Groups and Events Manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards: Supervise the Sales Coordinators to deliver our standard services to customers and achieve our financial goals. Visit customers with the Sales Manager to guarantee the success of major groups and events. Get involved with negotiations for groups and events to maximize results. Coordinate the "function meeting" with vital information about the groups and events happening in the next 10 days. Be responsible for the weekly communication meeting with the coordinators. Promote the hotel facilities and understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses. Organize hotel visits and attend unexpected requests. Act as the contact between the client and hotel staff when necessary. Collaborate with Sales Managers and Revenue Management to ensure that the entire sales process is completed and up to date. Update daily sales activities on the hotel systems, ensuring information is correct and consistent for the Groups Report. Review rates, groups, deadlines, and waiting lists. Review commission reports for groups, events, and Food and Beverage. Participate in special activities, such as secretaries' cocktails, welcome dinners for groups, etc. Ensure all requests are answered within 24 hours. Engage with clients and maintain relationships. Foster a positive work environment and good communication within the department and with other hotel departments to ensure compliance with Brand Standards and customer satisfaction. Comply with stipulated times and adapt to changes according to the hotel's operational needs. Promote the hotel's activities and events. What are we looking for? A Groups and Events Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and collaborating with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow: Complete Graduate Degree or MBA in Management, Hospitality, or Marketing. Fluent in English; a second language is desirable. Previous sales and events/banquets experience, preferably in a hotel, in leadership and supervisory positions. Critical analysis skills to strategically evaluate sales opportunities. Ability to analyze and manage multiple tasks. Ability to manage stress situations, promoting a constructive and positive attitude. Knowledge of Product and Marketing, including hotel operations and team organization
