Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hotel Groups and Events Manager to join our team at Conrad Algarve. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Sales Coordinators and the Groups Coordinator, working closely with the Hotel to achieve pre-established goals.

As a Hotel Groups and Events Manager, you will maximize sales results for Hotel Groups and Events, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and hotel performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Sales Coordinators to deliver standard services to customers and achieve financial goals.
  • Visit customers with the Sales Manager to guarantee the success of largest groups and events.
  • Participate in negotiations for groups and events to maximize results.
  • Coordinate the "function meeting" with vital information about upcoming groups and events.
  • Be responsible for the weekly communication meeting with coordinators.
  • Keep yourself informed about clients and engage relationships with them.
  • Maintain a nice work environment and good communication in the department and with other departments in the hotel.
Requirements
  • Complete Graduate Degree or MBA in Management, Hospitality, or Marketing.
  • Fluent English and a second language desirable.
  • Previous sales and events experience, preferably in a hotel, with leadership and supervision experience.
  • Critical analysis to strategically evaluate sales share.
  • Ability to analyze and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to manage stress situations and promote a constructive and positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of the hotel's product and marketing, including politics, operation, and structure.
  • The ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Sense of organization and planning.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
