Sales Manager

As a sales manager, you are responsible for all acquisition activities to retain customers or acquire new customers. You proactively look for new potential customers and create your own network. In addition to approaching prospects by phone, you make appointments and advise the customer. You have a commercial attitude, excellent communication skills and think in terms of opportunities. Frequent travel is inseparable from this function.
Tasks (on sales activities only):
-Managing and maintaining current client portfolios;
-Build a potential customer list in a proactive and considered way;
-Recruit prospects through telephone, web meetings or personal contacts;
-Identifying and reporting developments in the market;
-Compose an acquisition plan 2 times a year;
-Conducting evaluation interviews with current customers;
-Assessing and determining quotations, turnover and sales margins;
-Carrying out assignments from the management.
Authorizations (on sales activities only):
-Within certain margins (to be determined by management), you are independently authorized to make decisions that are good for our customers and Sterisets.
Communication:
Internal contacts with: departments within the organizationExternal contacts with: third partiesWorking area:
-Spain (direct business and distributors, tenders)
-Spanish speaking countries (Latin America, distributors)
Optional; (STI is also looking for expansion in those regions)
-Middle East (distributors)
-Germany (distributors)
Education:Secundairy Vocational Education and additional sales training
Experience:At least 5 years of relevant work experience
Competences:
-Command of the English and Spanish language, in word and in writing;
-Possess very good communication and writing skills;
-Being enthusiastic and thinking in terms of opportunities;
-Positive attitude and a hands-on mentality;
-Possess an enterprising character with ambition and commercial drive; 
-Ability to work independently as well as in a team;
-Experience in the medical sector is an advantage;
-Knowledge of the German language is an advantage.
