**Who we are**:
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has a Disability and Workplace Adjustment Team (DWAT) that **provide vital support to our UK-Based colleagues and colleagues based internationally **with disabilities/long term health conditions and their line managers/teams. The team are key in ensuring we provide **workplace adjustments **in line with our legal obligations under Equality Act 2010 and in promoting the FCDO’s role as a Disability Confident Leader. As part of the work the** **team also provides** key liaison with other parts of HR/the wider organisation** (e.g. IT) to ensure smooth implementation of adjustments.

**What is this role all about?**
Your role requires that you work empathetically with individuals:
- to understand their workplace adjustment needs;
- to explore whether further advice is needed and consequentially liaising with other entities (e.g. Occupational Health, Civil Service Workplace Adjustment Service, Business Disability Forum);
- to enable individuals to implement adjustments and capture these in a Workplace Adjustment Passport.
**Main responsibilities will include**:
- Providing excellent customer service to both employees with disabilities/long term conditions and their managers.
- Using the DWAT case management system and other digital technology as a tool to manage caseload and carry out the work.
- Working within current UK legislation and organisational policy and guidelines.
- Collaborating closely and taking a project management approach to work with others (such as IT, wider HR, L&D Academy, Estates) to support the effective delivery of workplace adjustments.
- Ensuring that colleagues have the correct tools and resources available to do their jobs. Identify who and what is required to ensure success, set clear goals and areas of responsibility.
- Completing quality assurance monitoring for the case management system, dealing promptly with any issues and ensuring cases progress through to finalisation.
- Keeping up to date with the issues that affect disability inclusion/workplace adjustments. Take a keen interest in expanding knowledge in areas related to your work.
- Assisting the budget lead with simple finance queries relating to reasonable adjustment costs.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience 1
- Fluency in English (written and spoken, minimum of C1 level according to the CEFR framework)
- Solid experience in delivering excellent customer service (virtual and in person)
- Minimum 2 years work experience in HR
- Previous administrative experience
- Strong IT Knowledge and experience
- Empathic, positive and focused attitude to achieving outcomes, despite any setbacks.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong organisational skills
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience 1

- Experience in Casework management
- Experience in Project management
