Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (estimated)

About This Role

The Medical Affairs Trainee role is an integral part of the Medical Department at Biogen. This position offers the opportunity to work within various therapeutic areas, including Neurology and Rare Diseases, with a focus on Multiple Sclerosis and Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the medical strategy and support activities and events within the department
  • Manage communications with agencies and suppliers involved in various projects
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with all affiliate areas
  • Develop communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of Medical Department activities
  • Deepen scientific knowledge within therapeutic areas
  • Support medical meetings and medical education projects
  • Review and approve medical materials in Veeva Inscite
  • Oversee ESE documentation and manage clinical studies
  • Participate in daily operations of various functions within the Medical Affairs department

Requirements

  • Academic degree in Life Sciences (PhD, PharmD, or MSc degree in other health-related fields)
  • Portuguese and English (spoken and written) are mandatory; Good understanding of Spanish would be a plus
  • High communication skills and good presentation skills
  • Highly motivated to learn, with good organizational skills and an overall positive attitude
  • Ability to manage priorities and respond to simultaneous requests from different stakeholders
