Job Summary
As a Banquets Manager at Marriott International, you will be responsible for directing and motivating a team to provide high-quality service to our guests. You will monitor and control financial and administrative responsibilities, including asset protection, and provide clear and concise communications to all stakeholders. You will also identify training opportunities and plan a strategy to accomplish goals.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage banquet operations, including projects supply needs and applying knowledge of all laws related to events.
• Understand the impact of banquet operations on the overall success of an event and manage activities to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to and reinforce all standards, policies, and procedures, and maintain established sanitation levels.
• Manage departmental inventories and maintain equipment, and use banquet beverage records to control liquor costs and manage the banquet beverage perpetual inventory.
• Schedule banquet service staff to forecast and service standards, while maximizing profits.

Requirements
• High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, or related professional area.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
• Knowledge of food and wine pairings and cutting-edge cuisine, with an emphasis on current event trends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
