About the Role

An esteemed opportunity has arisen for a seasoned General Manager to spearhead the opening of a new hotel in Porto, Portugal.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing operational procedures, driving team performance, and fostering a vibrant community. A grounded approach is essential, with a focus on managing the Profit and Loss (P&L), ensuring efficient daily processes, and actively supporting and challenging brand propositions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute the business plan, highlighting and achieving key performance indicators for the hotel.
  • Enhance overall performance by maximizing sales and profit, elevating brand awareness and reputation, identifying business opportunities, optimizing team productivity, and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Take ownership of the entire Profit and Loss (P&L) spectrum, including budget setting, actuals management, forecasting assurance, and comprehensive control and reporting across all business aspects.
  • Evaluate and refine business activities, processes, and methodologies to enhance financial performance and contribute value.
  • Collaborate with essential stakeholders, overseeing and enhancing the team life cycle by promoting a culture of trust, collaboration, inclusion, guest-centricity, and enjoyment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and due diligence requirements, meticulously documenting them for both internal and external audits.
About You

We seek a talented and experienced General Manager with a proven track record in hotel management. The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge of the hotel market in Porto, a keen understanding of the local scene, and the ability to drive the business forward.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Manager or in a similar capacity within the hotel, co-living/student accommodation, or resort industry.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of hybrid hospitality or community-centric brands and business models.
