Job Title: Senior Communications Surveillance Officer

At Natixis in Portugal, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Communications Surveillance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Compliance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the firm's compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily surveillance of electronic and voice communications to identify potential compliance issues.
  • Perform research and investigations to identify the root cause of potential violations.
  • Document research results and escalate violations and/or suspicious activity according to firm policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Business Lines, Advisory, and other departments to identify, analyze, investigate, and resolve issues.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff to assist them in their daily tasks.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key facts from a large amount of information.
  • Understanding of compliance/risk management frameworks and testing programs.
  • Fluency in English (at least level C1 - written and spoken); French level (+B1) is a plus.
  • Work or education experience in regulatory, audit, compliance, risk, surveillance, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge/experience with financial markets and an array of financial products.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree (preferably in Finance, Business or Accounting) or equivalent work experience.
