About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Director to join our dynamic VML team. In this pivotal role, you will be the strategic lead and day-to-day manager for a portfolio of key healthcare clients, driving their success and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of client engagements, from strategic planning and creative execution to financial performance and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary strategic lead and day-to-day contact for your clients, building trusted relationships, understanding their needs, and ensuring their overall satisfaction.
  • Strategic Direction & Creative Excellence: Develop and implement comprehensive account plans that align with client objectives and drive measurable results.
  • Financial Performance & Account Growth: Take ownership of account profitability, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and contribute to overall business growth.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of account professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and supportive work environment.
  • Project Management & Communication: Oversee the successful execution of all client projects, ensuring seamless workflow, adherence to deadlines, and delivery of high-quality deliverables.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Account Director within a healthcare communications or advertising agency setting.
  • A strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, including regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements.
  • A digital-first mindset with experience developing and executing integrated campaigns across various channels.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills, with a proven ability to build rapport, trust, and long-term partnerships.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for translating client needs into actionable solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
