The AVD Engineer is responsible for design, implementation and support of remote work technologies, ensuring the appropriate configurations and architecture to support customer's requirements.
The successful candidate will have experience with Microsoft Azure and virtual desktop environments, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
This position plays a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and productive work environments for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users for issues related to Azure Virtual Desktop, including problem identification, troubleshooting, and resolution;
- Regularly monitor system performance, identify issues, and work towards resolution;
- Collaborate closely with the cloud engineering team to ensure that system updates, patches, and configurations are executed efficiently;
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and technical documentation related to Azure Virtual Desktop;
- Maintain awareness of updates or changes in Microsoft Azure and incorporate them into support practices as necessary;
- Assist in the management and support of network services in Azure, including DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing to ensure connectivity;
- Offer after-hours support for emergencies and system maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience;
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows, Virtual Desktops, Intune, SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365;
- Strong knowledge of Azure cloud computing environments;
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools;
- Professional proficiency in English;
