The Work You'll Do:

You will support and guide Sales Engineers while working with Direct Sales and Alliance teams to provide subject matter expertise for our tax information reporting solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing superior domain expertise around Tax Information Reporting
  • Challenging bad sales processes and behaviours, establishing and supporting best practices
  • Maintaining expert-level understanding of functionality and technical architecture of our products
  • Assisting in the client discovery process to uncover unforeseen challenges and ensure proper offerings are proposed
  • Guiding strategic efforts for sales and solutions presentations for clients of all sizes
  • Developing and leading training sessions within and outside the Sales Engineer department
  • Assisting Sales Engineers in designing customised solution demonstrations using Sovos SaaS solutions and services
  • Serving as a subject matter expert for RFP and RFI responses for prospective new clients
  • Working closely with the on-boarding team for seamless handoffs from sales to on-boarding for new clients
  • Maintaining and improving demonstration capabilities, conducting internal Sales department training, demo system props, and proposal content
  • Acting with integrity and demonstrating ethical behaviour in all matters with stakeholders
  • Taking full responsibility for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction

What We Need From You:

  • Minimum 4+ years' of sales-related experience
  • Customer-facing experience required
  • Ability to be strategic towards business outcomes and manage day-to-day details and deadlines
  • Strong team orientation with a history of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, remain focused under pressure, and work extended hours as required
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Well-developed business ethics and the ability to maintain discretion
  • Self-motivated and strong drive to succeed
  • Modest travel required for client meetings, trade shows, and special projects, including some international travel
  • Ability to pass a background, drug, and credit check

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
