Human Resources Specialist with Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations Focus

Company Overview: Buscojobs Portugal is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and success of our organization.

Job Description: We are looking for a talented and accomplished Human Resources Generalist to oversee all aspects of resourcing, employee relations, and adding value in support of our business objectives. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality, proactive service to both internal and external customers while meeting corporate and statutory requirements;
  • Working closely with the onboarding team to ensure new hires deliver all necessary documentation;
  • Communicating with Social Security regarding joiners and leavers on a daily basis;
  • Supporting new hires with regular documentation when required;
  • Celebrating labor contracts and delivering them to new employees;
  • Verifying background check processes, requesting documents from employees, and contacting former employers;
  • Maintaining historical data according to Foundever procedures and audit processes;
  • Ensuring exit inhibitions are handled on a daily basis;
  • Recording new hires in the HR system;
  • Creating employee declarations and work certifications;
  • Managing medical appointments timely with operations and supporting doctors on site;
  • Supporting motivation activities;
  • Staying up-to-date with current employment legislation;

Required Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An advanced level of English (at least C1) both verbally and in writing;
  • Excellent listening and written/oral communication skills in supported languages;
  • A motivated and enthusiastic personality;
  • Self-organized, planning, and prioritization skills;
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to manage stress;
  • The ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to adverse situations;
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to pick up new technology quickly;
  • The ability to follow guidelines and instructions;
  • The ability to keep calm and clear-headed in critical situations;
  • Facilitator and influencing skills;
  • People-oriented traits;
  • An element of gravitas;
  • Experience with policy work;
  • An early adopter of technology;
  • Dependability, reliability, and the ability to perform duties with minimum supervision;
  • The ability to interact positively with staff at all levels;
  • EU citizenship or a valid work permit for Portugal;
  • Availability to work in a hybrid mode from the Porto site;
  • College degree or bachelor's degree finalist status;
  • Computer literacy – word and excel intermediate level.
