Overview

Alter Solutions Group seeks a seasoned Global Technical Solutions Expert to join its Resources and Skills Department in Portugal. This role requires the right individual to work collaboratively with the IT Finance Department, leveraging their expertise to ensure seamless task execution.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is approximately €55,000 - €70,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for guaranteeing optimal performance and operational monitoring over allocated periods by ensuring responsiveness to evolution requests, corrective maintenance requests, restoration of service, and compliance with defined SLAs:

  • Assess risks that may arise during your work and within the scope of responsibility;
  • E nsure objectives and deadlines of deliveries are met, respecting SLAs and regression testing within the pre-determined test coverage ratio;
  • Identify and request essential resources;
  • Develop functional or technical macro-solutions (depending on your field) by seeking required resources and expertise;
  • Validate solutions and functional or technical hypotheses (depending on your field);
  • Update deliverables specific to RUN operation according to norms and standards;
  • Manage or participate in meetings and committees related to your intervention scope;
  • Contribute to communication around your profession by ensuring communication to various stakeholders at the frequency defined with customers (business lines and manager).

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • University graduation in an IT-related field;
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in purchasing and management control;
  • Experience in application production run support acting as a Technical Leader;
  • Accounting scope knowledge would be a plus;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain collaborative work relationships at all levels, including meeting management, publicly presenting, explaining, and learning business matters, producing and following up on meeting outcomes and inputs.

Tools and Technologies

You will be working with:

  • Service Now;
  • Jira Lanta;
  • Oracle with PL SQL knowledge (advanced level);
  • PowerBI knowledge would be a plus.

This role is based in Portugal, offering the opportunity to work in a multicultural environment with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. You will be expected to travel occasionally within and outside Portugal, but most work will be done remotely or in a hybrid model (office and remote working).
