The Role: Strategic Account ExecutiveThis field-based position reports directly to the Regional VP, with ownership of an assigned territory focused on securing net new logo and upsell opportunities. You will have access to a robust internal resource model, a broad tech stack, and a global partner directory to position yourself for future success.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a personal plan aligned to the regional sales strategy, measuring its effectiveness, and making necessary adjustments.
- Positioning and articulating Ping's value proposition to maximize business opportunities with customers.
- Negotiating and closing complex contracts with the support of global partners.
- Reporting sales activity and forecasts to senior management.
- Preparing indicative subscription pricing and customer offers, identifying broader opportunities such as training and professional services modules, and guiding request for proposal responses.
- Providing valuable feedback to marketing, customer success, product management, and engineering teams.
- Collaborating with other teams to acquire additional resources as needed.
You will thrive in this role if you have:
- Significant quota-carrying experience selling enterprise software solutions.
- A results-driven mindset with multiple years meeting or exceeding quota within the market.
- A sustainable record of signing strategic and large projects, navigating long and complex sales cycles.
- Success working with strategic buyers.
- Deep knowledge of industry key drivers of change.
- Background working with regional/national/global partners and system integrators.
- Prior training and experience in value selling and account planning methodologies.
