We are seeking a highly skilled Rooms Division Manager to lead our pre-opening team at Andaz Lisbon. This luxury lifestyle hotel, expected to open in 2025, will offer guests an exciting new experience in the Portuguese capital.

About the Role

The Rooms Division Manager is responsible for ensuring seamless operations between Housekeeping and Front Office departments, meeting Andaz Lisbon's high standards. As part of the pre-opening process, this hands-on role provides the opportunity to set clear strategies and goals to enhance guest experiences and maximize revenue while controlling costs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee the guest experience from check-in to check-out, working closely with Heads of Department to ensure a seamless experience and make adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication between Housekeeping, Front Office, Maintenance, and other departments.
  • Ensure all company minimum brand standards are implemented, with optional standards applied where necessary.
  • Manage hotel inventory and ordering supplies.
  • Evaluate cost centers to operate with the lowest possible cost structure while delivering on the brand promise to guests.
  • Develop and deliver brand-led experiences to exceed hotel NPS and customer service scores.

Requirements

Ideally with a degree, the successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in a similar role in a luxury 5-star hotel.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese, English, and another European language.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of front office, housekeeping, reservations, and guest services operations in luxury hotels.
  • Ability to oversee daily functions of the rooms division, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Experience in managing room inventory, allocation, and ensuring maximum occupancy and revenue.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a diverse team across various departments.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Experience in implementing service standards and training staff to uphold them consistently.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management for the rooms division.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure all aspects of room cleanliness, maintenance, and guest services meet the highest standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.

Salary Range: €50,000 - €70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
