**Job Description:**

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide an outstanding technical support experience to our business customers. You will own and manage the customer experience over the phone and Web, collaborating with others when needed to engage subject matter experts or Management. Your day-to-day job involves providing both technical expertise and excellent communication skills, as well as being a service-oriented professional.

**Responsibilities:

  1. You will own, investigate, and solve complex customer technical issues, acting as an advisor to the customer and collaborating within and across teams.
  2. You will lead in building communities with peer delivery roles and share your knowledge through readiness programs, technical coaching, and mentoring of others.
  3. You will deepen your technical and professional proficiency to enable you to resolve complex customer issues, through training and readiness.
  4. You will engage with Microsoft Engineering/Supportability teams to investigate potential product defects and help develop automation techniques and diagnostic tools driving Microsoft product improvements.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough troubleshooting and debugging, and to solve complex problems.
  • Track record in technical support or a similar customer-facing role within the technology sector.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with strong prioritization and resourcefulness skills.
  • Excellent communication and senior stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical, senior business users.
  • Knowledge with Spark query tuning and performance optimization, experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Databricks), and coding skills in Java, Python, or Scala.
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills and knowledge in SQL database integration.

**Estimated Salary:** $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
