We are looking for a highly experienced Commercial Director to lead our commercial strategy in Portugal. As a key representative of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing Sales, the Big Chains and Long Tail teams, as well as bringing revenue to Glovo through Advertisements.
The role is based in Lisbon, and you will have full responsibility for the commercial budget, ensuring that all activities are under control and used in the most impactful way to generate revenue for Glovo.
Key Responsibilities:- Define and implement a long-term commercial strategy for Portugal
- Manage Sales, Big Chains and Long Tail teams, and bring revenue to Glovo through Advertisements
- Create long-term relationships with Big Chains' main POCs to become their preferred partner in delivery
- Work closely with your direct team to close important deals with Big chains and Top accounts
- Meet Advertisements Business Plan goals, building a yearly strategy defining targets for each local team
- Drive, structure, analyze, and channel daily work and information with local Commercial Managers
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in fast-paced environments (startups, investment banking, top consulting firms, top internet firms)
- Experience leading +5 people cross-functional teams
- Fluent English and Portuguese language skills
- Tough negotiation experience
- Persuasive sales skills
- Data-driven mentality, making decisions based on data and using good business judgment when necessary
