PSA Sines, a multinational reference company and market leader in the container cargo handling sector, is currently recruiting a Business Solution Specialist to strengthen our Business Excellence team.


Mission:


Working with a variety of different departments, the role is responsible for the identification and implementation of new technical solutions to continuously improve the organization's efficiency, and drive business results by providing scalable solutions that are relevant for performance and process automation.


This role will also support the development of new strategies, products, services and ideas for the organization, planning and defining the implementation alongside the budgeting process.


Main Responsibilities:


Work closely with various departments to identify and implement new solutions, and business opportunities according to company strategy and aligned with market trends, using proven technologies.

Preparing proposals for new solutions based on company needs and defined strategy, providing cost-benefit analysis and defining the budget.
Conduct market research to identify new technologies or products to be developed internally, that may impact the industry.
Document all solutions created and ensure there is a centralised depository to house all documentation.

Work closely with IT/ENG department to ensure programmes used and solutions created follow information technology/operation technology cybersecurity guidelines of the company.

Drive change and operational excellence.

Profile

(Hard Skills):

Higher Education with expertise in one or several of the following areas:
Information Technology/Computer Science
Logistics/Supply Chain
Process Management/Optimization
Continuous Improvement/Kaizen/Lean Six Sigma
Sound knowledge/education in container trade operations, maritime trade
Experience with container terminal operating systems
Agile Development methodology
Minimum 3 years experience in solution/software development
Proficiency with programming languages (Java, .NET, Python)
Ability to work with relational, non-relational, graph and vectorial databases (SQL, MongoDB)
Experience with the usage of data streaming and AMQP solutions (Hazelcast, RabbitMQ)
Experience with the usage of in-memory stores (Redis, Memcached)
Experience with the usage of API management solutions (WSO2, Kong)
Experience with the usage of SOAP and REST protocols
Knowledge of Application Servers (WebSphere, Wildfly) management
Knowledge of usage of code repositories (GitHub, GitLab)
Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook)
Good knowledge of Portuguese/English (Mandatory)
