Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled IT Helpdesk Senior Technician to join us for a project based in Carcavelos.
Provide advanced technical support as the escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 support teams, resolving complex IT issues and ensuring rapid response to incidents and service requests.Conduct routine maintenance of systems, including updates, patches, and backups, to ensure compliance with organizational standards.Offer user support and training, providing hands-on guidance on IT tools and resources and delivering training sessions to empower employees to work more efficiently with technology.Mentor junior helpdesk technicians, promoting a culture of continuous learning and leading by example in customer service, technical expertise, and adherence to IT processes.Support IT management in planning and executing technology-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.Maintain accurate records of support activities, resolutions, and system changes in the ITSM platform and generate periodic reports on IT support metrics.Evaluate and implement cybersecurity measures to protect data and systems.Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
At least 5 years of professional experience in IT support roles, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior-level or advanced technician capacity.Deep knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), networking concepts, and enterprise-level ITSM platforms.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Google Workspace) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox).Experience with peripherals (printers, scanners, VoIP devices) and hardware diagnostics.Working knowledge of endpoint protection tools and security compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL Foundation).What We Offer
