**About the job**
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and building strong relationships with clients in the naval defence industry. This role requires a deep understanding of complex systems, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. The Sales Manager will play a critical role in expanding our presence in the naval defence market and contributing to the growth of the organization. Your core activities will consist of:
- Managing the internal and external customer relationship;
- Develop potential matches between prospect End Customer needs and Thales’s strengths in products, solutions, capabilities and contacts;
- Respond to External and Internal Requests for Proposals where you contribute to the commercial portion and bring the final responsibility for the delivery;
- Capturing contracts by proposing winning offers and successfully negotiate profitable contracts;
- Liaise with the international Thales organization, coordinating your activities with other units of the Thales group;
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive proposals, pricing strategies, and customized solutions for naval defence clients;
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand the professional network and promote our offerings.
**About you**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development;
- Demonstrates the sensitivity to understand and define key customer requirements;
- Possesses proven commercial skills and technical knowledge to effectively explain solutions to customers;
- Is a team player with the ability to localize and mobilize the necessary expertise and workforce;
- Communicates clearly and openly on all levels;
- Thrives in a quickly changing environment;
- Flexibility with respect to travelling and being part of an international environment;
- Knowledge and experience in the Naval Defence Domain is preferred;
- Sense of responsibility and ability to do pro-active work;
