About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon. As the head of the hotel's culinary department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests, while also ensuring high-quality standards and consistency throughout our restaurants and bars.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menu concepts that showcase local flavors and ingredients, while meeting the high expectations of our guests.
- Liaise with the Director of F&B to create menus that align with the hotel's brand identity and marketing strategies.
- Lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution of menu items, including plating, presentation, and serving.
- Collaborate with the Hotel Manager, General Manager, and other departments to drive business growth and maximize revenue.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, seasonal produce, and local suppliers to maintain the highest quality of ingredients and presentation.
- Monitor labor costs, inventory levels, and operational expenses to optimize efficiency and profitability.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, creativity, and continuous learning among the culinary team.
To succeed as an Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon, you will need:
- A degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the culinary industry, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- A deep understanding of local cuisine, flavor profiles, and ingredient sourcing, with a passion for innovation and creativity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and adapt to changing situations.
- Proficiency in English, with Portuguese language skills advantageous.
