Our client, a leading international company in the automotive industry, specializes in developing and manufacturing connectors and cable assemblies. They focus on providing reliable connectivity solutions for the automotive sector.

Job Description:

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Regional Sales Manager who will direct the sales and account management activities in Europe, encompassing Germany, the Netherlands, France, and Ireland. This role involves promoting, prioritizing, and negotiating profitable business growth with new and existing customers. The successful candidate will coordinate and analyze customer forecasts and reporting requirements monthly, as well as coordinate product marketing intelligence for assigned customer bases and territories.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Plan, prioritize, and manage the sales effort to build an RFQ pipeline and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual order and revenue forecasts and annual growth initiatives.
  • Lead sales activities within the region or territory to attain committed net new business objectives (NNB) utilizing a strategy-to-win approach.
  • Collaborate with multiple channels, such as distributors, Tier 1's, and OEM's, to secure product releases and approvals.
  • Act as a client advocate alongside Field Application Engineers and work with internal departments to ensure that client needs are understood and met.
  • Obtain customer intelligence to adjust order and revenue forecasts, adapt sales strategies to meet corporate objectives, identify risks, and opportunities. Clarify major market trends, lead & perform benchmarking to understand market pricing.
  • Coordinate technical roadmap reviews and create sales opportunities with a consistent brand management plan.
  • Develop annual budgets and portfolio strategy plans to expand business leverage.
  • Develop penetration plans for new customers in the territory.
  • Establish relationships with engineering and purchasing departments to expand sales volume with existing and new customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field highly preferred or a strong technical aptitude or experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven sales management experience, preferably in a regional role.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
  • New business negotiation skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in the German and English language.
  • Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel within the region (Germany) 70%.

Estimated Salary: €80,000 - €110,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
