Abroad Experience is seeking a highly skilled Technical Expert to join its Sales Department. This position requires an individual with commercial skills and an Electronic (AV) background to perform Engineering, Sales, and Troubleshooting tasks.
About the RoleThe primary responsibilities of this position revolve around providing technical support to clients, manning the 'Hot Line' support system, and performing both technical/engineering and sales/customer service related tasks.
- Provide new product ideas and changes to future products;
- In-house product testing for technical issues experienced in the field;
- Answering the Hot Line support call, troubleshooting technical problems with professional AV systems over the phone;
- Traveling to, and representing the company at trade shows and dealer events, including participation in setup and teardown of such events;
- Thorough understanding of the product line, product functions, features, and applications;
- Developing a working knowledge of competitive products and related technologies;
- Providing product availability and pricing information over the phone to dealers and end-users, as well as other sales-related tasks as needed;
- Training of sales team members and new employees, as well as dealers and end-users.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree in Electrical and/or Electronics engineering from an accredited college or university;
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Audio Visual Systems Design and/or Implementation;
- An excellent knowledge of Audio Visual system designing or commissioning;
- Native written communication skills in German and English;
- A valid driving license (an added advantage).
This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package that includes benefits. The estimated salary for this role is €55,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
