Account Manager Job Description

The Account Manager plays a crucial role in driving business growth by providing enablement to partners. This involves developing their capability and knowledge to sell our brand and grow their business. The Account Manager trains the partner sales force on product sales strategies and works closely with marketing and Inside Sales Representatives to drive lead generation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage partner forecasting and performance by tracking tools
  • Responsible for partner pipeline management, detecting new opportunities, and driving successful closure of deals
  • Responsible for a portfolio of partners and developing their business growth and margin based on the strategy
  • Understand partner market and competition through tools and reports, and evaluate reseller interest in our solutions
  • Define resellers' target of brand share of wallet, growth rate, and program qualification/certification, and identify gaps and define actions to close them
  • Educate partner sales force on our products and solutions, and drive value proposition and key selling points
  • Create partner loyalty and drive partner competencies and certification in our products
  • Ensure partners meet brand Partner Program Requirements, and take advantage of promotions, events, and programs

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and the language of the target market at a native level
  • Preferred minimum of two years of related technical sales experience
  • Experience working in a channel environment, with knowledge of partners and distributors
  • Familiarity with channel programs and sales CRMs
