About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in Portugal. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for building and cultivating relationships with existing and prospective customers. You will identify, investigate, and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, trade shows, conferences, and other means.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish new client relationships focusing on plasmids, nucleic acid, viral vectors, and microbiome opportunities including process development, manufacturing, and sterile fill finish services.
- Call on prospective accounts, provide technical and administrative product information, coordinate presentations, and support proposal generation.
- Understand the CDMO market and communicate the Recipharm value proposition effectively.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders in manufacturing, process development, project management, engineering, etc., to facilitate successful proposal, negotiation, and implementation processes.
- Accompany and/or host customers for onsite company visits/audits and attend industry meetings and conferences as required.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field such as biochemistry, immunology, molecular biology, microbiology, or a related life science major.
- Proven sales/business development track record with at least 3 years' experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the CDMO/pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry with key account and territory management experience in academic, biotech/pharmaceutical life science customers.
