About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Russian LQA - Game Tester for a freelance basis. As a Localization QA Game Tester, you will work within our Localization Quality Assurance team, ensuring the game is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies, and accurately localized into the target language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a global project team.
  • Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors.
  • Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
  • Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions.
  • Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
  • Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
  • Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation.
  • Oversee the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects.

Our Localization QA team performs language checks on a range of yet-to-be-released games for various platforms, including PC, Xbox One, PS5, Wii, PS Vita, DS, Switch, VR, and mobile devices. As an LQA Game Tester, you would be working on top gaming titles for leading publishers.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Russian and English.
  • Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for.
  • Computer literacy – particularly with Excel.
  • Robust Internet research skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams.
  • You must be able to provide evidence of your right to work in Portugal. If you are located outside Portugal, a freelance contract will be applied.

Working Conditions:

  • 100% remote work.
  • You will be required to work minimum 4 hours between 8:00 to 17:00, Mondays through Fridays (Portugal Time Zone).

We are also open to offering full-time position to multilingual candidates (Russian and other languages). This role requires onsite work at our studio in Braga, Portugal.
