About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Norwegian LQA Specialist to join our Localization Quality Assurance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of localized games, working closely with a global project team to identify and correct language errors, cultural inconsistencies, and other issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a global project team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors in localized games.
- Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
- Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions and recommendations.
- Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
- Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
- Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation as required.
- Oversee the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects.
Our Localization QA team performs language checks on a range of yet-to-be-released games for various platforms, including PC, Xbox One, PS5, Wii, PS Vita, DS, Switch, VR, and mobile devices. As a Norwegian LQA Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on top gaming titles for some of the world's leading publishers.
Requirements- Fluency in Norwegian and English.
- Strong cultural understanding of the Norwegian language and culture.
- Computer literacy, particularly with Excel.
- Robust Internet research skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams.
- You must be able to provide evidence of your right to work in Portugal. If you are located outside Portugal, a freelance contract will be applied.
- €15, gross annual salary (Full Time). Part-time and freelance rates are pro-rata based on the hourly rate.
- €6 per working day in meal allowance (For full-time and pro-rate for part-time employees).
- Work Equipment will be provided by PTW.
