About the Role
As a Localization QA Game Tester, you will work within our Localization Quality Assurance team to ensure that our games are accurately localized for release in various languages. You will be responsible for identifying and correcting language errors, cultural inconsistencies, and other issues that may impact the gaming experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a global project team to achieve shared goals.
- Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors.
- Evaluate adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
- Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions.
- Maintain consistency in terminology and imagery throughout the game.
- Ensure accurate translation within context and proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
- Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation as needed.
- Oversee the quality of your work and contribute to the overall success of projects.
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented individual with strong cultural understanding of the Norwegian language. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training and support. Strong computer literacy, particularly with Excel, is essential. Additionally, robust internet research skills, excellent attention to detail, and previous experience with software applications and websites are beneficial.
