E-Commerce Business Development Manager

As an E-Commerce Business Development Manager, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong relationships and understanding their business needs.
Your key responsibilities will include managing client onboarding, ensuring a seamless transition, and providing clear communication of expectations.
You'll also be responsible for regular check-ins with clients to gauge satisfaction, address concerns, and offer support when needed.
Collaboration with internal teams, such as marketing, sales, and product, will be crucial in addressing client requests and delivering effective solutions.
To drive growth, you'll identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services based on client needs.
Tracking and reporting on account performance will help you provide insights on client health, renewal likelihood, and areas for improvement.
You'll be expected to resolve any client issues or escalations promptly, maintaining high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Preparing and presenting regular account reviews will enable you to showcase value delivered and identify areas for growth.
Staying informed about industry trends and client market conditions will allow you to offer relevant advice and solutions.
You'll also assist with contract renewals, aiming to maintain a high renewal rate among accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in account management, customer success, or sales, preferably in e-commerce
- Proven track record of maintaining strong client relationships and achieving sales targets or KPIs
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This salary range is based on national averages for similar positions in the e-commerce industry.
