Strategic Business Development Manager

At Phiture, you have the opportunity to drive growth and impact with clients across various industry sectors. Our Strategy & Corporate Finance Practice focuses on advising clients on top-management level issues including corporate strategy and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and alliances, business due diligence, value-based management, ESG strategy, and strategy in IPO situations. We close the gap between corporate finance and strategy to have significant impact on the client business and the top-management agenda.
Your Impact Within Our Firm
- You will be a key member of our Strategy & Corporate Finance Client Development Hub – which is primarily EMEA-focused, but also supports efforts globally or in other regions as appropriate.
- This role is a unique blend of strategy, operations, content expertise, stakeholder management, communications/design, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the proposal document and process; lead significant workstreams with increasing independence.
- Create timely and high-quality proposal content, gather feedback, and own cadence of iterations.
- Lead the navigation of the proposal process and help CSTs implement best practices.
- Upskill quickly on client context, embed within the CST, and independently create compelling proposal documents, materials, and experiences.
- Where applicable, own research and analyses to inform key hypotheses/insights and customize proposal for client.
- Seek opportunities to bring the best of our broader capabilities and expertise (e.g., C&I) into proposals.
- Upskill quickly on S&CF and M&A capabilities/offerings and also industry/sector knowledge during and outside proposals to help shape content proactively.
- Adhere to relevant procedures (e.g., file structure, archive, backup) for all proposal materials and processes.
- Prepare templates, compliance matrices, close-out activities, and/or other administrative elements throughout proposal development based on submission requirements.
- Identify opportunities, and support creation and continuous improvement of Proposal Services assets (playbooks, tools, templates, best practice examples, reference cases, capability-building, etc.).
Your Qualifications and Skills
- University degree.
- 3+ years of experience in a client services setting, with experience in one or more of: S&CF/M&A topics (Strategy, M&A, Finance and capital markets, Growth and innovation etc.), client development, business development, proposal management, communications.
- Basic understanding of professional services client development.
- Proven project management skills.
- Strong conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communications skills in English, written and verbal (e.g., ability to synthesize and convey complex information clearly and compellingly).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel).
- Results-oriented; entrepreneurial and self-driven.
- Collaborative; able to build relationships and influence stakeholders across roles and levels.
- High professional and ethical standards and respect for confidentiality.
We are looking for someone who can earn approximately €80,000 - €110,000 per year depending on experience, working in Lisbon.
