**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Senior Business Development Representative to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of selling products and/or services in a comparable role in a B2B or B2C environment. They will be able to demonstrate their ability to communicate effectively with clients, manage quotations, bids, and proposals, and work under own initiative to prioritize and deliver work on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Follow up all leads assigned to you within agreed timescales, ensuring the correct level of client discovery to maximize each sales opportunity.
  2. Weekly outbound prospecting activities, representing the company in a highly professional manner.
  3. Proactively work on networking to develop self-generated leads to enable the correct level of sales pipeline and sales to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  4. Manage your own pipeline to ensure that you have sufficient active opportunities to meet your monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, including taking necessary action to correct any shortfalls in a timely manner.
  5. Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date records on the company's CRM system, including the on-time completion of all follow-up actions and tasks in line with agreed global sales processes (including records of all calls, emails, meetings, proposals, etc.).
  6. Ensure awareness of marketing activities to ensure the correct level of activity to follow up on local campaigns and other marketing initiatives.
  7. Remain competent to produce accurate proposals in line with the requirements for each of the products you are authorized to sell, through refresher training and completion of development activities agreed with your manager.
  8. Support other team members as needed to ensure that the team performance meets expected activity and sales targets.
  9. Work effectively with SD and SDS colleagues to ensure that your client KPIs are met in full, raising issues or risks in the appropriate way that enables resolution.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable track record of selling products and/or services in a comparable role in a B2B or B2C environment.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and pipeline development to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Dutch.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing quotations, bids, and proposals, including working to set pricing models to achieve required margin.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, active listener and able to work under own initiative to prioritize and deliver work on time.
  • Knowledge of standard IT programmes, Salesforce and comfortable in using proprietary software for business processes.

Benefits:

As a Senior Business Development Representative at LRQA, you can expect to receive a competitive salary of around €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also be entitled to a range of benefits, including a generous holiday allowance, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.
