About the Role

We're seeking a talented Technical Support Engineer to join our Applications & Infrastructure team. As a key member of this group, you'll provide timely technical expertise to address business-critical challenges for our commercial customers.

In this role, you'll own, troubleshoot, and solve customer technical issues, collaborating with teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices. You'll participate in communities with peer delivery roles, develop specific technical and professional proficiency, and contribute to Microsoft product improvements by identifying potential defects and providing feedback to senior engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Review, investigate, and solve customer technical issues, working collaboratively within and across teams, and utilizing various data collection tools and methodologies.
  • Participate in peer communities and engage in ongoing training and readiness activities to enhance technical proficiency and problem-solving skills.
  • Contribute to Microsoft product enhancements by identifying potential defects and providing valuable feedback to senior engineers.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A strong background in Customer Support, Technical Consulting, or Software Development, or equivalent experience.
  • Application development and debugging experience with languages such as Java, Node, Python, PHP, Ruby, .NET Core, ASP.NET, WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal.
  • An understanding of programming concepts like call stacks, threading, synchronization, performance-related concepts, and debugging.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
