Job Description
We are seeking a Global Incident Resolution Specialist to join our team. This role involves working under guidance as part of a technical team to ensure the rapid and effective resolution of Santander UK's largest incidents. Key responsibilities include coordinating global incident response efforts, analyzing service collisions, and monitoring the execution of changes until closure.
Accountabilities
- Assisting in the management of IT incidents to minimize disruption to services and restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
- Receiving and documenting incident reports, prioritizing, and categorizing incidents according to severity and impact.
- Communicating with stakeholders and end-users regarding incident status and resolution.
- Coordinating with technical teams to diagnose and resolve incidents.
- Escalating critical incidents to higher-level support and management.
- Analyzing trends within incident data and uncovering root causes.
- Acting upon root causes to prevent recurrence.
- Organizing and chairing Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs) to identify lessons learned.
- Ensuring toolsets are updated regularly and accurately.
Qualifications
Required qualifications for this role include a degree in computer science or an equivalent professional qualification. Experience within a Major Incident Team, preferably within a financial services environment, is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this position. Additionally, experience using Incident Management Toolsets and a working knowledge of ITIL disciplines and processes are required.
Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
