Job Summary:

The Territory Business Development Manager will be responsible for supporting the development of Ormco's business activities in the Porto, Aveiro, and Azores regions. This role will focus on exploring sales growth opportunities and sales development with distribution partners, as well as cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit assigned customers regularly to promote products, provide new product information, and receive feedback on the company's products and services.
  • Develop long-lasting relationships and drive revenue growth with tender regions, DMUs, and affiliated orthodontic specialists.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
  • Qualify potential customers as sales prospects for the corporation.
  • Understand and support the corporation's sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to all customers.
  • Relate new product ideas and product extensions to marketing management for evaluation.
  • Follow corporate policies regarding customer entertainment and customer relations.
  • Review and report complaints received from customers and recommend corrective action to the Region Sales Manager.
  • Collect and report competitive information to Marketing Management.
  • Prepare periodic reports, including weekly call reports, weekly expense reports, and other reports as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business or Economics.
  • Strategic view on business development and proactive involvement in training peers and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate well with people and work in an unstructured work environment.
  • Experience operating in an international environment.
  • Fluent level of English and Portuguese languages, with additional languages an asset.
  • Previous experience in the medical devices, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel and CRM.
  • At least 3 years of sales and/or general business experience.
